What to expect / the process
1. Personal Financial Snapshot
In order to gain an understanding of your financial position, goals and objectives we will first ask you to complete a very simple personal financial snapshot. This should take only 5 - 10 minutes to complete. Once you return this to us we will have a sound basic understanding of your financial circumstances and should be in a position to determine if we can help you.
2. Initial Meeting
At our initial meeting (which is at no obligation or cost) we endeavor to gain a much broader understanding of your situation and objectives. It is also a good forum for you to find out a little more about Alliance. If appropriate, we will then provide a written letter detailing our understanding of your situation, where we can add value to your situation, and our quote for the work. We typically charge about $1,100 for this inluding GST which is merely a cost recovery of our time.
3. Service Agreements
Once you are happy to join Alliance, we will meet to go through and sign our service agreements. Importantly, these have a short termination clause of 30 days so if you (or we) are not happy to continue our relationship simply notify us in writing.
4. Initial Statement of Advice (SOA)
We will prepare a detailed written statement of advice (SOA) detailing our recommendations to you. We will then meet to discuss our recommendation and explain how our strategy aims to meet your long term objectives. We will provide a written fixed quote for out SOA fee.
5. Advice Implementation
We will implement all of the advice that we recommend (subject to your approval). All that you are required to do is authorise (sign) what is needed for us to implement our advice on your behalf.
6. Ongoing review
Our work on improving your financial circumstances is ongoing. Once a client, we will provide ongoing advice to suit your circumstances as they change or to best take advantage of changes to rules or regulations as they occur.
